Job Description
We are seeking an SAP ABAP / RICE Development Lead to own end-to-end design and delivery of moderately complex RICE objects. This role focuses on translating functional requirements into scalable, high-performing technical solutions while ensuring reliability, performance, and long-term supportability.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate functional specifications into detailed technical designs including data models, error handling, logging, and restart/reprocessing mechanisms
• Develop and enhance RICE objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (user exits, BAdIs, enhancement spots)
• Build and support inbound and outbound interfaces with strong validation, reconciliation, and coordination with middleware and integration teams
• Develop scalable reports and enhancements with appropriate authorization checks and performance optimization
• Support data conversions and mass data loads including transformations, balancing, and audit-ready reconciliation outputs
• Lead code reviews, enforce development standards, and contribute to reusable components and best practices
• Troubleshoot issues during hypercare, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes to stabilize production

Required Skills & Experience
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience with SAP ABAP development and RICE objects
• Proven ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
• Experience developing interfaces (IDocs, APIs) and working with integration teams
• Strong understanding of SAP data structures, debugging, and performance tuning
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting S/4HANA implementations or upgrades
• Exposure to modern SAP development tools and frameworks
• Experience with data migration, conversions, and reconciliation processes
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid SAP delivery methodologies
