Job Description
A leading hospital system in NYC is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team. Some of the daily responsibilities include:
• Support and maintain enterprise and data center network environments (heavy operational focus)
• Configure and troubleshoot routing (BGP) and switching across Arista and Juniper environments
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and resolve outages (L2/L3)
• Manage firewall configurations and ensure secure network operations
• Support hybrid cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure/GCP) including VPNs and routing
• Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams on upgrades, migrations, and ongoing network improvements
• Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and ongoing optimization
Maintain documentation, network standards, and operational procedures

Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience (strong ops/troubleshooting background)
• Strong expertise in BGP routing (core requirement)
• Hands-on experience with Arista switching platforms (core requirement)
• Experience with Juniper networking technologies
• Strong L2/L3 networking knowledge (routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF)
• Experience working in enterprise or data center environments
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues end-to-end
• Experience with firewalls and network security fundamentals
*Bachelors Degree Required for C2H
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud connectivity)
• Exposure to network automation (Python, Ansible)
• Experience with large-scale environments
Relevant certifications (JNCIP/JNCIE, Arista ACE, CCNP/CCIE, cloud networking certs)
