Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support a large commercial/industrial concrete project in Syracuse, NY. This individual will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent and is expected to be a hands-on contributor—someone who proactively resolves issues rather than deferring decisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PE with strong GC-side experience who is ready to step into a more ownership-driven role within a specialty contractor environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support project execution across preconstruction and field phases
Manage RFIs, submittals, technical documentation, and quality checks
Perform material quantity takeoffs and assist with procurement
Generate and review proposals, change orders, and cost impacts
Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
Conduct quality control checks and field coordination
Identify and resolve issues independently when possible
Collaborate closely with the PM and Superintendent to support jobsite execution

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of construction experience
Background in commercial or industrial construction
Strong understanding of concrete construction (no pure PE backgrounds)
Experience on the GC side; open to candidates transitioning to sub-side work
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Strong background in concrete construction projects
Prior project travel experience
Exposure to large-scale or complex projects ($100M+ total project value)
