Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an OSP Permit Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the construction of a fiber network in Ohio. The candidate will be working with Engineering Vendors and the project team who are physically designing the network and submitting the designs to municipalities for permits. The permitting coordinator will be responsible for maintaining relationships with each municipality, tracking each design package, and the permitting process with municipalities from beginning to end to ensure a timely deliverable.

Required Skills & Experience
Must haves:
• Experience in permitting or pre-construction/construction coordination
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings
• Experience coordinating between engineering vendors and municipalities
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter; able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Strong sense of accountability and work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience/comfortable using ArcGIS and Google Earth
• Experience with permitting portals for submissions
• Ability to attend in-person meetings at municipalities
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a drug test/BGC

Plusses:
• Background in telecommunications
• Experience permitting in Ohio, Michigan, or surrounding areas
Day to Day:
• Prepare, submit, and track permit applications from start to finish
• Coordinate between engineering vendors and municipalities
• Review and redline permit packages to ensure consistency and compliance
• Ensure engineering firms submit consistent design packages per municipality requirements
• Read and interpret civil drawings and plant maps
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal contacts
• Attend in-person meetings with municipalities as required
• Track permit status using project management software and internal trackers
• Communicate timelines, issues, and updates clearly to internal teams
• Identify opportunities to improve permitting efficiency
• Collect and submit bonding documentation for municipalities
• Support fiber network construction projects in Ohio
