Job Description

We are seeking an experienced EpicCare Ambulatory Analyst to support a maternity leave backfill and assist with ongoing build, support, and optimization efforts within the Ambulatory application. This individual will play a key role in enhancing workflows, resolving tickets, and partnering closely with end users to improve system performance and usability.
The ideal candidate brings strong build experience, deep knowledge of Epic SmartTools and reporting, and excellent customer-facing communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day application support for EpicCare Ambulatory, including issue resolution and escalation management
Lead and execute system build and configuration, including enhancements and optimization initiatives
Design, build, and maintain SmartTools (SmartSets, SmartPhrases, SmartTexts) and rule logic to support clinical workflows
Develop and support reporting solutions, including use of Workbench reporting tools
Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions
Manage and resolve support tickets, ensuring timely follow-up and clear communication with end users
Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend system improvements to optimize user experience
Provide end-user support and training, ensuring strong adoption and satisfaction
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support upgrades, integrations, and ongoing system maintenance

Required Skills & Experience

EpicCare Ambulatory Certification (required)
3–5+ years of experience as an Epic Ambulatory Analyst in a healthcare environment [EPIC ( Req...ndidates ) | Teams]
Strong hands-on build experience within Epic Ambulatory (not just advisory/support) [EPIC ( Req...ndidates ) | Teams]
Proven expertise with:

SmartTools (SmartSets, SmartPhrases, SmartTexts) [Sydney Ahern in chat | Teams]
Rule logic and system configuration
Workbench reporting and reporting workflows


Experience supporting production environments, including incident management and optimization [EPIC ( Req...ndidates ) | Teams]
Ability to work directly with end users, clinicians, and operational stakeholders [MetroPT Re...iting Gang | Teams]
Strong communication skills with a demonstrated focus on customer service and user satisfaction
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Compass Rose
Additional Epic certifications or badges
Prior experience supporting optimization efforts post-go-live
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
Experience working in large health system environments
