Job Description
Our client, an environmental services organization, is seeking 2 General Laborers to support a short-term facility relocation project at their Long Island location. The team will assist with organizing, packing, and preparing decades of materials, tools, and equipment for transport as the client transitions to a new yard and mechanic facility.
This is a hands-on, physically active role requiring attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
-Pack, organize, and inventory tools, materials, and equipment
-Palletize items in a methodical and organized manner (not rushed cleanup)
-Assist with loading containers (forklifts/heavy machinery available on-site for large items)
-Perform general yard and shop cleanup work
-Work outdoors as needed; indoor organization during poor weather
-Stand, bend, lift, and organize throughout the workday
-Follow task-based direction and work independently once assigned
Pay rate: $18-$21/hr depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
Physical Requirements
-Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs (heavier items handled by forklift/operators)
-Comfortable standing, bending, and working physically for a full shift
-Willingness to work outdoors and in dusty/dirty environments
-Owns Work Boots
Qualifications
-No degree required
-Familiarity with basic tools (wrenches, clamps, hoses, mechanical parts)
-Must have reliable transportation; local candidates strongly preferred due to commute reliability
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Background in general labor, warehouse, or handyman-type work
-Experience with palletizing, sorting, inventory, shipping, or warehouse operations
