Job Description
This senior leadership role is responsible for building and scaling a consumer media practice from the ground up within a performance-driven agency environment. The VP, Consumer Media will serve as the primary strategic lead and client-facing expert for consumer media, owning both new business growth and media strategy oversight across key accounts.
The role blends hands-on media expertise with a strong new business mindset, partnering closely with creative and growth teams to support pitches, develop media narratives, and help close and deliver new client relationships. While not responsible for day-to-day execution, this leader will guide media strategy, oversee large budgets, and mentor execution teams as the practice grows.
This is an opportunity for a builder-type leader—someone comfortable operating in both enterprise and entrepreneurial environments—who wants the autonomy to run a media division like their own business, with a long-term runway to success and meaningful impact on agency growth

Required Skills & Experience
• Senior-level consumer media leadership experience
• Background across enterprise and startup environments
• Proven ability to lead media strategy AND contribute to new business
• Strong executive presence — confident, proactive, natural leader
• Experience owning or influencing $50–100M+ media budgets
• Comfortable being the face of media in pitches and client settings
• Digitally fluent across modern ad tech ecosystems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience leading teams and doing performance reviews
• Programmatic + DSP depth (The Trade Desk preferred)
• Media planning tools (MediaOcean familiarity)
• Agency experience supporting consumer, DTC, or performance-driven clients
