Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Manager of Desktop & Applications Engineering to join an innovative international law firm client. This individual will lead desktop engineering and application delivery efforts, ensuring a high-performance, modern desktop experience for attorneys and business professionals across the firm.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of desktop engineers and application analysts, driving technical excellence and service accountability
• Own the desktop and application strategy with a focus on Microsoft 365, modern endpoint management, and user experience optimization
• Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise and legal applications, including packaging, testing, deployment, upgrades, and decommissioning
• Serve as the Level 3 escalation owner, performing root cause analysis and driving permanent resolution of complex issues
• Act as subject matter expert for legal desktop applications including iManage, Litera, BigHand, IntApp, and Adobe Acrobat
• Partner with internal infrastructure teams, vendors, and Microsoft support to deliver stable, secure, and scalable desktop solutions
• Implement and manage endpoint policies and configurations using Group Policy, Intune, and zero-trust/hybrid security frameworks
• Maintain thorough technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures
This is a full-time position that is based in NYC – in the office 2-3 days a week.
Compensation
$200k-$250k base salary
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, level of experience, geographic location, education, and consideration of internal equity.

Required Skills & Experience
• 7-10 years of experience in desktop engineering, application integration, or systems engineering at a large law firm or professional services organization
• At least 2 years of experience leading a team of engineers
• Deep expertise in Windows OS, Group Policy, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Edge)
• Hands-on experience supporting legal applications such as iManage Work 10, Litera, BigHand, IntApp Time, and Adobe Acrobat DC
• Experience supporting virtual desktop environments (AVD, Citrix CVAD/DaaS, VMware)
• Advanced PowerShell, SQL, FSLogix, or Ivanti AppSense experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
