Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Data Governance & MDM Specialist to join one of their investment banking clients in New York City. The individual will be responsible for scaling an existing data governance and master data management program. This person will be a hands-on technical contributor responsible for building data governance capabilities within their Databricks Lakehouse, improving data quality, and driving master data solutions across key business domains including Organizations, Funds, and Deals within DealCloud, Salesforce and Power Platform. The ideal candidate combines strong Python, SQL, and Databricks/Jupyter notebooks experience with a solid understanding of data governance and MDM. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys executing and building rather than leading teams or setting strategy. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week onsite in the New York City office.
Responsibilities
•Build and enhance data governance and MDM solutions within Databricks.
•Develop Python, SQL, and notebook-based workflows to support data quality, mastering, and governance processes.
•Design and maintain matching, survivorship, and data quality rules across critical business data domains.
•Integrate, standardize, and master data from internal and external sources.
•Automate data quality checks and exception handling processes.
•Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to deliver trusted, governed data.
•Support CRM-related data initiatives, including data movement between DealCloud, Salesforce, and MDM platforms.
•Document governance processes, business rules, and technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
• 4-7 years of experience in Data Governance, MDM, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related fields
• Investment Banking or front-office environment
•Strong hands-on expertise with Python and SQL
•Experience with Databricks and/or Jupyter notebooks
•Experience implementing data governance, data quality, or MDM solutions
•Understanding of CRM data structures and data integration processes
•Ability to work independently and drive technical deliverables with limited oversight
•Experience with DealCloud and/or Salesforce
