Job Description

Day to Day

The Program Controls Specialist will play a critical role in supporting data center construction programs within the FEP organization. This role is responsible for centralizing and standardizing program controls functions across multiple projects, enabling consistent reporting, improved risk visibility, and stronger portfolio‑level insights.
The specialist will work closely with Program Managers (PMs) and cross‑functional stakeholders to support budget management, risk tracking, reporting, and change management—allowing PMs to remain focused on delivery while improving overall program consistency and data quality.

Responsibilities:
• Support centralized budget tracking across FEP data center programs
• Implement and maintain a standardized budget template using Google Workspace
• Maintain and update a program‑level risk log, ensuring new risks are identified and tracked consistently
• Conduct weekly check‑ins with core program personnel to review risks, budgets, and upcoming needs
• Proactively identify upcoming cycles and flag any actions or preparation required
• Act as a facilitator and connector, not the owner of project details, by gathering inputs and providing visibility
• Develop a strong understanding of existing systems, tools, and workflows used across the program
• Identify pain points in current controls processes and reporting approaches
• Partner with TVCs through weekly one‑on‑one meetings to understand challenges and opportunities
• Recommend and drive improvements for streamlining, automation, and reporting efficiency
• Support consistency in how data is tracked, reported, and shared across teams
• Consolidate siloed reports into a streamlined, program‑wide view
• Improve alignment and collaboration across fully remote teams
• Ensure controls processes are practical, standardized, and adopted by all stakeholders
• Support leadership with clear, accurate, and consistent program‑level reporting
• Continuously assess what is working well and where controls can be improved
• Reduce duplicate efforts and inefficiencies caused by fragmented reporting
• Enable Program Managers to focus on delivery by strengthening controls support
