Job Description

Our client is a leading global alternative investments firm seeking a Data Athlete Project Manager to join a centralized, strategic program management team. This team partners closely with Controllers and Finance Analytics groups to transform how data is accessed, analyzed, and reported across the organization for clients and investors.

This is a fast paced, high impact environment that values self starters who can move quickly, navigate complexity, and drive outcomes. You will play a critical role in enabling the business to respond rapidly to investor questions around exposure, cash flows, and fund performance, often within highly complex fund of fund structures.

Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Controllers, Finance Analytics, Technology Engineering and other stakeholders to drive data focused initiatives that improve transparency, speed, and quality of financial insights
• Leverage SQL and Python for coding and create back end solutions to be passed on to engineers for further development and deployment
• Execute on the product roadmap centered on data transformation, optimization, and analytics
• Enhance, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards that support real time decision making and investor reporting
• Translate business needs into clear requirements, roadmaps, and delivery plans in a complex financial data environment
• Manage workstreams using Jira and Confluence, ensuring visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes
• Navigate and organize data that is layered across complex hierarchies, including funds of funds
• Act as a proactive problem solver, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve data usability at scale

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in Data Analysis or BI Development with a strong emphasis on complex data sets
• Significant experience within the financial services industry, with a solid working knowledge of finance concepts
• Demonstrated experience building and enhancing dashboards in Power BI, SQL, Python, and Snowflake
• Strong proficiency with Jira and Confluence
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with competing priorities
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex data topics clearly to non technical and technical audiences
• Self-starter and independent
• Ability to work east coast hours 9am – 6pm ET

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Domain exposure within Asset Management and/or Fund Accounting
• Understanding of financial concepts such as IRR, NAV calculations, cash flows, and investor reporting
• Experience working with Snowflake and/or Sigma
• Experience within an Agile environment
• Prior experience supporting investor driven or executive level reporting needs
