Job Description

Role Purpose
Support the development of an automated fabrication factory by designing and integrating controls for welding and automation systems, with emphasis on precision, repeatability, and distortion control.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and support controls systems for automated welding and fabrication
• Develop strategies for controlling distortion, tolerances, and fixturing
• Collaborate with CAD and factory design teams to ensure automation feasibility
• Support integration of vendor automation equipment into the factory environment

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience with industrial automation controls
• Prior experience working with Robotic Welding, CNC Machining, or Automated Assembly lines.
• Exposure to welding automation and fabrication controls in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and system integration.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Backgrounds
• Automotive manufacturing (robotic welding, body-in-white)
• Heavy industrial automation
• Aerospace welding of large metallic structures
