Job Description
Insight Global is seeking AWS Application Engineers to join a large financial firm. The individuals in this role will be joining the employee platforms organization and will work on mission-critical AWS and Amazon Connect platforms, have Hands-on engineering with real architectural impact and have an opportunity to build modern, serverless, API-driven solutions.
Responsibilities tied to this role will include:
Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based applications with a focus on Amazon Connect
Build and expose APIs that integrate with Amazon Connect and supporting AWS services
Develop AWS Lambda functions, utilities, and backend services
Define and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
CloudFormation and/or Terraform
Collaborate with architects and product teams to design scalable, secure AWS solutions
Implement AWS best practices for security, scalability, and reliability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions
Support enhancements and new feature development for existing AWS workloads

Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience developing applications on AWS
Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
CloudFormation and/or Terraform
Strong experience building serverless applications, including:
AWS Lambda
API Gateway
Proven experience designing and implementing APIs and backend services on AWS
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language:
Python, Java, or Node.js (language flexibility is acceptable)
Experience building application logic and cloud infrastructure using code, not manual configuration
