Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist for a small medical practice in Great Neck NY. This role is responsible for providing front-office support to ensure smooth daily operations in a healthcare setting. This role combines administrative tasks with patient-facing responsibilities to deliver excellent customer service and maintain efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer phone calls promptly and assist with inquiries or direct calls to appropriate staff.
• Provide clear instructions regarding appointments, paperwork, and office procedures.
Scheduling & Coordination
• Schedule patient appointments accurately using the practice’s scheduling system.
• Confirm appointments and manage cancellations or rescheduling requests.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow.
Billing & Payment Collection
• Collect copayments and outstanding balances at check-in or check-out.
• Verify patient insurance information and update records as needed.
• Process billing transactions and provide receipts to patients.
Insurance & Pre-Authorizations
• Check and verify pre-authorizations for procedures and services.
• Contact insurance companies to confirm coverage and resolve issues.
• Follow up on pending authorizations and communicate status to patients and providers.
Administrative Support
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Prepare and organize necessary forms and documentation for patient visits.
• Assist with filing, scanning, and other clerical tasks as needed.
Hours:
- Monday: (7:30 - 5 PM)
- Tues (9 - 5, some flex 10-4 if needed)
- Wed (9 - 5, some flex 10-4 if needed)
- Thursday (9 - 6/7 PM)
- Friday (9-1)
