Job Description

An Consulting Company client of Insight Global is hiring for a Senior Power Platform Developer in support of one of their customers in the Energy industry. This Power Platform Developer will contribute to the acceleration of successful delivery for a large-scale Microsoft Power Platform Solution. The project leverages Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Data verse with a highly relational data model, advanced automation, and enterprise integration. This role requires strong hands-on development skills paired with the experience to guide architectural decisions, solve complex challenges, and mentor other developers. This individual will be expected to hit the ground running, bring best practices, and help drive the project to completion with speed and quality.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Solution Development and Architecture
- Build and enhance complex Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Implement advanced Dataverse relationships, business rules, and role-based security models.
- Support and refine ALM processes including solution packaging and deployment pipelines

Workflow Automation and Integration
- Design and optimize Power Automate flows with strong exception handling and monitoring
- Integrate Power Platform with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and external APIs; recommend strategies for connectors and custom development

UI/UX and Advanced App Behavior
- Translate wireframes and Figma designs into responsive, production-ready apps for desktop and mobile
- Develop and standardize custom components for reuse across the solution

Governance and Best Practices
- Enforce development standards, naming conventions, and structured error handling
- Ensure adherence to enterprise governance and environment management practices

Collaboration and Leadership
- Partner with project leadership to clarify requirements, resolve blockers, and influence design decisions
- Provide technical mentorship and code reviews for other developers
- Communicate clearly in stand-ups and planning sessions, proactively raising risks and proposing solutions

Testing and Support
- Conduct functional testing and support structured UAT cycles
- Support go-live readiness and provide knowledge transfer to client developers and support teams.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual with excellent problem solving skills. This is a fully remote position, and a 3+ month contract with extensions likely. Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of hands-on Power Platform development (Canvas, Model-DRIVEN, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI)
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications with complex relational data models.
- Strong expertise in responsive design, componentization, and conditional app logic
- Deep understanding of Dataverse, including advanced lookups and business rules
- Skilled with Microsoft 365 integrations (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) and API/Azure service integrations
Proficient in solution management, ATL pipelines, and deployment in enterprise contexts

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Microsoft certifications: PL-400 (Developer), PL-600 (Solution Architect)
- Experience in consulting and large transformation projects
- Background in guiding offshore or distributed development teams
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of Power Fx, TypeScript, and PCF (Power Apps Component Framework).
