Senior QA Engineer

Insight Global’s financial service’s client is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join their team! This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing testing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing tools and processes to ensure quality standards are consistently met. The Senior QA Engineer will serve as the main point of contact for all QA-related activities across releases, coordinating resources and providing hands-on support. Collaboration with Development and Product teams is essential to ensure the high-quality delivery of new features. The role also includes mentoring QA team members and developing and executing detailed test plans, scripts, and procedures—both manual and automated. Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of QA experience, with at least 5 years focused on financial systems, and a strong understanding of trading platforms and trade processing. Proficiency in test planning, defect tracking tools like JIRA, and working knowledge of SQL are required. Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience with UNIX/Linux platforms, front-office trading techniques, Java-based test automation, and familiarity with technologies such as FIX protocol, Java, XML, JSON, and web services.

• 8+ years of experience as a QA Engineer preferably with fixed income experience or equity/derivatives
• Strong understanding of trading systems, order flow, trade flow into trade capture, regulatory systems, and trade capture systems
• Experience doing reporting and tracking using Jira
• Strong communication and confidence

• FIX Protocol
• Experience with automation tools
