Insight Global is hiring a Senior IBM i DBA and Performance SME to join our Fortune 500 client, an IT infrastructure services provider. We are looking for a SME whose responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and researching IBM i DB issues with efficiency, bottlenecks, lock contention, and SQL statement errors.
- Utilizing iDoctor and other tools to identify and resolve DB2 lag and latency issues causing application impact.
- Designing and deploying DB schema on multiple iASP utilizing PowerHA resiliency strategy.
- Leveraging expertise in the operation and management of IT hardware, software, communications, and/or application solutions, and the resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support properly engineered IT services and products to meet the needs of a business.
- Preparing new or changed services, managing change processes, and managing performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance.
- Applying technical skills to support the operation and maintenance of vendor products, services, and solutions and typically have responsibility for sizing, troubleshooting, and critical client situations.

Senior level experience with IBMi Database Administration
SME experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and researching IBM i database issues with efficiency, bottlenecks, lock contention, and SQL statement errors
Experience utilizing iDoctor to identify DB2 lag and latency issues causing application impact
Experience designing and deploying DB schema on multiple iASP utilizing PowerHA resiliency strategy
Strong communication skills and professionalism
General availability to work in CST zone and on an on-call rotation
