Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Operations Technician to join the team of one of their top customers in Schenectady, NY. This role is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, and eventually may require some evening shift work. An overview of the daily responsibilities are below:



Perform necessary tasks in the operation of the facility including pre and post test checks.

Monitor Lab test conditions and supporting systems for the successful execution of Lab tests.

Operate facility control panel in safe and effective manner as directed.

Create work packages

Work to resolve EHS issues and concerns.

Maintenance of work order system of assets and equipment updates of preventative maintenance requirements per OEM manuals

Ensure critical equipment spare parts are identified and tied to Lab assets

Inventory existing spare parts and add to inventory system.

Perform facility walkthroughs to identify any issues with HVAC systems, roof leaks or equipment operations

Ability to work off shifts for extended periods

Understanding of LOTO procedures (Lock Out Tag Out)

Required Skills & Experience

1-2 years working in lab or manufacturing environment

Comfortability operating control panels on machines

Knowledge of inventory management and documentation

Self-starter with the ability to problem solve

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with LOTO procedures

Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment and doing preventative maintenance
