Job Description

Insight Global is hiring an Administrative Specialist to join the NDT Contracts Oversight group within the Welding Center of Excellence at one of the largest utility providers in the NYC Metro area. This is a 6 month contract to (potential) hire opportunity, taking place on a hybrid basis in the Bronx, NY.

The specialist will be responsible for coordinating all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities alongside Construction Management and Major Project Engineering. Key responsibilities include scheduling NDT tasks, ensuring OQ compliance in ITS, collaborating with various organizations to complete work promptly, and accurately recording and reporting hours for payment processing. Additionally, the specialist will track scheduled field activities for ongoing transmission main projects, maintaining compliance with industry regulations by managing NDT certifications, and implementing a tracking system for vendor hours and services to ensure accurate billing.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and can build and develop relationships with supply chain stakeholders, NDT vendors, and service providers.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Business Analytics, Economics or Engineering
- 2 years of related work experience in Data Analytics and Financial Management
- Understanding of NDT processes and contract management
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to utilize v-lookups and pivot tables in Excel
- Drivers license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with NDT (non-destructive testing) techniques and quality assurance processes
- Experience in the gas/utility industry or with pipeline projects
