One of our largest banking clients is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their growing team. This individual will be helping support a project that will optimize and improve the check deposit journey for their customers. This person will be working heavily with tools such as Java 11, Spring Boot, Rest APIs, Microservice Architecture, Kafka, MongoDB and workflow orchestrators such as Temporal. This person should be highly skilled in backend development with Java/Spring Boot and must be a strong communicator who can assist with the design & implementation of resilient APIs/Microservices. This person must also be comfortable working in a hybrid model which will require three days onsite per week.

- 8+ years of developing internet-scale solution development primarily using Java, Spring Boot and No-SQL databases
- Must have experience working with at least Java 11 and have knowledge of concepts such as Lambdas, Streams, Completable Future, optional, and generics.
- Familiarity with Java functional and reactive programming
- Must have experience developing resilient Rest APIs and Microservices with Java/Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) processes and best practices.
- Must have previous experience with Event Driven Development with tools such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience working with modern software engineering tools such as GIT Workflows, Gradle, Load Testing tools or Mock Frameworks.
- Previous experience with workflow orchestrators such as Temporal, Apache Airflow, Zeebe or Argo Workflows.
- Any previous Banking/Fintech experience.
- Previous experience working with Docker and Kubernetes for Orchestration/Containerization purposes.
