A waste collection company in the New York City Metro area is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager to join their team. You will work out of their Brooklyn depot. We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills with a proven track record of mobilizing change in a fluid and growing environment. The organization is projected to grow immensely so we need someone that has helped scale and grow the business with process improvements, hiring new team members and guiding team members to promotion to help with the growth of the team.
These individuals should come from a hands-on mechanical background starting as a maintenance tech, truck dealership experience (large diesel engines/fleet vehicles) or mechanic certifications through Alison, Cummins, Peterbilt, Mack or similar. You should have experience with managing a fleet including scheduling, planning and organizing maintenance. This individual should also possess strong diagnostic skills to help lead the team.
We are looking for someone that is flexible with hours as 85% of the work completed by the organization is from 9pm to 7am. Your core schedule will mainly be 7am-4pm with occasionally Saturday work. However, there could be a 12pm - 9am shift once a month.
This is a permanent role with medical, dental, vision benefits along with a 401k plan. Yearly compensation range is $100k-120k with a 10% bonus and is determined based on several factors including skills experience and education.

-3+ years of experience as a maintenance manager, supervisor, lead or foreman for a large fleet of vehicles and fleet maintenance crew
-Experience with planning, scheduling and organizing fleet maintenance without interruption to service
-Experience managing maintenance technicians and developing them for promoted roles
-Experience with implementing process improvements
