Insight Global is looking for a Senior End User Support Engineer for one of our healthcare clients. Our client is focused on applying technology to drug development and building subsidiary life sciences and health technology companies. This role will start as a contract opportunity with extensions and potential conversion and be required to be onsite in New York City five (5) days per week.
The Senior End User Support Engineer will be responsible for designing, architecting, deploying, and maintaining technologies. Provide expertise and support to End User Computing and within the broader IT organization for our client. You will collaborate with specialist product line teams to meet operational end user computing needs. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues at both the basic, intermediate, and senior levels. This role demands excellent communication skills, a robust technical background, and the capability to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting
o Provide advanced technical support for Windows and macOS environments, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
o Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
o Assist end-users with application support and troubleshooting.
- System Management and Maintenance:
o Manage and maintain the end-user computing environment, including software updates, patches, and configurations.
o Perform regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and preventative maintenance.
- Deployment and Configuration:
o Plan and execute the deployment of new hardware and software.
o Configure and manage user profiles, group policies, and system settings.
o Automate repetitive tasks using scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
