Insight Global is seeking out a Mid-Senior level JavaScript Engineer to sit remotely and support various major consumer-facing live events, projects and modernization initiatives for a large streaming service. This team specifically will be working on connected devices, creating and maintaining performant HTML5 based features, constantly improving performance against KPIs to give the user the best possible experience. The team also collaborates with product and other internal teams to drive innovation and improvements, explores new technologies, etc, pushing the quality and speed capabilities of the systems. As a JavaScript Engineer, the responsibilities include application maintenance and enhancement, feature development, architectural design and optimization, code quality and best practices, performance optimization, cross-functional collaboration, and technical research.
Pay rate: 65-70/hr

3+ years of experience with front-end software development.
Expert at using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related technologies.
Experience leveraging frameworks such as Reach Native/ReactJS, Angular, Vue.JS.
Experience with APIs and integrating 3rd party libraries.
Strong architectural skills, and ability to design scalable/maintainable solutions.
Experience with performance improvements/component design.
Strong CS fundamentals, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Experience with test-driven development
Proficient in Git, Git commands and various Git workflows.
Solid grasp of development methodologies such as Scrum and Agile.
Experience with CI tools like Jenkins, CircleCI & MSFT DevOps.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
**Experience with Lightning JS framework and HTML5 Canvas.**
Strong experience working with connected devices
Familiar building applications for set-up boxes (STB's).
Familiarity with front end build tools and package managers (ex: Webpack, npm)
