We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to partner with another team within a financial organization to migrate an existing blockchain node from our internal cloud environment to a public cloud platform. The successful candidate will work closely with the cloud engineering team, but will report directly to the hiring manager. The key responsibilities of this role include assessing the current blockchain node running in the internal cloud and developing a plan to migrate it to a public cloud platform (AWS or Azure). The Cloud Engineer will leverage deployment technologies such as CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or Kubernetes (or a combination) to automate the migration and deployment process. Collaborating with the cloud engineering team will be essential to ensure a smooth transition and integration with existing cloud infrastructure and processes. Additionally, the Cloud Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise during the migration and working to optimize the performance and scalability of the blockchain node in the public cloud. Finally, the successful candidate will be required to document the migration process and provide knowledge transfer to the cloud engineering team.

6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with expertise in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Experience migrating from private cloud to public cloud
Proficiency in using deployment technologies like CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Git and GitLab
Familiarity in designing, developing and testing software in either Java, Javascript, Python or GoLang
Knowledge of the financial services industry is preferred but not required
