Job Description

Credit Agricole is looking for a Repo Trading Associate to join their Middle Office Support team. The Middle Office team is responsible for assisting and controlling the Treasury and Repo business line. In addition, there is the Global Repo business that will be managed by both Paris and New York teams. This individual will be responsible for control and support functions of the operations initiated by the Treasury and Repo Front Office in New York, from the negotiations, recordings, and processing of transactions. The role will be to facilitate and ensure all operations are processed in a timely manner, which includes trade monitoring, workflow control, and trade validation to ensure timely settlement and accuracy of Front Offices position and exposure. This individual will be supporting 4-5 traders and salespeople, interacting with both the clients and the traders, and have exposure working at the desk where the deals are negotiated. This is a very fast-paced, high-volume work environment and it is essential that this person has the ability to multitask, problem solve, and communicate effectively across many people each day. This individual will be the point of contact and liaise with entities both internally (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Compliance, IT, Product Control, Risk Management, Project Management) and externally (Clients, Broker/Dealers, etc.). This position has the opportunity to participate in various projects to optimize trade workflow, deploy new products, system enhancements/fixes, new regulations and market rules. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of middle office operations experience and they must have experience working on a trading floor.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3 -5+ years of experience within Middle Office Operations from a trading floor
- Strong understanding of repos, securities lending, total return swaps/rates (TRS)
- Product knowledge of US Treasuries (notes/bills/bonds) and Mortgage backed securities
- Ability to identify, investigate and resolve trade breaks and discrepancies as well as ensure accurate trade bookings, amendments, allocations, reconciliations
- Strong Microsoft Excel VBA/ writing macros skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interactions with Sales/Trading, back office to ensure timely trade settlement, internal and external clients
- Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, multi-tasker, problem solver, works well under pressure in a time-sensitive, fast paced environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with electronic trading platforms, preferably Bloomberg or GLMX
- Experience with Fixed Income Clearing Corp (FICC) / FICC is important and/or GSCC
- Triparty repo bookings, settlements, ensuring accurate trade capture and data quality by front office Sales/Trading
- Interest rate derivatives background
