Job Description

Our program advocates for families and children, guiding them through complex systems and helping them access vital resources such as healthcare, education, and social services. We provide comprehensive support and coordination of services to address specific needs and challenges families face. In this role you will help ensure the services we offer are coded and billed to funders accurately and we are reimbursed timely. This makes a difference because our financial sustainability ensures we can continue serving our communities.

Perform and oversee billing of accounts receivable:

Billing for third party insurance, fee for service and/or Medicaid claims.

Prepares tracking forms for agency utilization

Maintain proper receivable records to track billing

Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and quality of claims

Perform and oversee with timely collection of monies due to the agency

Assure timely and accurate billing processes and invoicing

Assure timely and accurate application of payments to outstanding Accounts Receivable

Oversee Accounts Receivable Insurance Claims Specialists to ensure accurate and timely third party insurance billing and invoicing

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare field or Finance

5 years of experience at the managerial level

Experience in accounts receivable specific to third party insurance billing and collections and/or Medicaid.

Experience in invoicing and navigating denied claims

Ability to work with a computerized accounting system

Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a flexible, team context

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiar with National Exchanges used for billing (States: NY, DE, and FL)

Certifications
