Job Description

A multibillion-dollar energy utility client is leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County. The client invests hundreds of millions of dollars annually to integrate distributed resources into electric and gas systems, support electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and scale adoption of energy efficiency and clean heating technologies across customers.



The client's Clean Energy Engineering team is currently looking for a Clean Energy Engineer to join the team. The candidate will be performing technical reviews to verify and validate savings calculations provided by Participating Contractors and Customers on various Commercial & Industrial facilities throughout the client's service territory. The team has a large queue of current projects and the Engineer will assist in determining appropriate baseline consideration and utilize industry standards to verify clean energy savings.



The client is looking for a candidate with outstanding interpersonal skills and a background working with 3rd party vendors as the Engineer will be working directly with the Participating Contractors as well as Customers to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner. The Engineer will also ensure that desk reviews by the PC's are compliant with program requirements.



This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing team and make an immediate impact within the Clean Energy space. Candidate should ideally be local to the Greater New York Area so that they can be onsite in the Manhattan office on an as needed basis.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of hands on energy modeling experience

- Experience working in the HVAC space with strong understanding of HVAC systems

- Background within Building Systems Design

- Bachelor's of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical or Energy Related Degree)

- Advanced MS Excel skillset

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Certified Energy Manager certification (CEM)

- Experience with Heat Pump technology

- Experience with either eQuest, Trace 700, Trace 3D or other similar energy modeling tools
