A waste collection company in the New York City Metro area is looking for two Operations Managers to join their team. One home base will be in the Bronx and the other one in Brooklyn. We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills with a proven track record of mobilizing change in a fluid and growing environment. The organization is projected to grow immensely so we need someone that has helped scale and grow the business with process improvements, hiring new team members and guiding team members to promotion to help with the growth of the team.
These individuals should come from an operational role in the transportation, waste management or logistics background. They should have experience managing at minimum five direct reports with additional indirect reports. You will be responsible for managing the supervisors, guiding them in their efforts to build a strong team and be the escalation point of contact for anything that happens in the field.
We are looking for someone that is flexible with hours as 85% of the work completed by the organization is from 9pm to 7am. There will be some days where you start between 4-6am with a 10-11 hour work day as well as being on call for the supervisors on your team for any pertinent escalations.
The headquarters is located in Teaneck, NJ, but the home base for this role will be in the Bronx or Brooklyn borough.
