How you can use avatars as a medium for expression: avatar stickers static and animated memes dances and UGC studio tool that enables people to create unique personalized expressions.
Our vision is that people are in complete control of their virtual identity in the metaverse with a suite of intuitive capable and delightful tools that they can access across their metaverse journey anytime and any place. Our team mission is to build and organize the capabilities of avatar creation and customization and make them available across Metaverse experiences. Well do this by articulating the landscape of editing use cases and capabilities that connect to peoples metaverse journey building an editor platform that supports these needs and working with clients to implement the experiences on top of this platform as a cohesive experience.
We're looking for a designer who isn't afraid to jump in and explore the new challenges of considering immersive experiences with 3D elements in 2D platforms like our Family of Apps FB IG MSG WA. You will get to work closely with Technical Artists and Animators to find the right embedded experiences and interaction patterns. Youll work on new and exciting use cases like how do we define your virtual identity and what is the most delightful way to customize it how we maximize self representation in your Avatar.
Who is the audience/primary user/consumer were designing for?
Our Avatar Editor is a central product across all our Family of App partners in Facebook Instagram Messenger and Whatsapp so your audience is vast but for early adoption we will be focusing our product more for Teenage and Young adult groups
Experience Needed
Stand out strengths needed:
Drive clarity of plan strategy and vision on key company priorities with product managers engineers researchers and content strategists
Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams
Work collaboratively with Product Research and Engineering partners from concept through completion and future iterations
Own the end-to-end design interaction visual etc. across multiple features and projects
Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality
Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies
Unique skills/experience needed:
Strong interaction and 2D prototyping skills
Strong craft and visual design
Nice to have - experience designing for 3D and immersive medium
Nice to have - Experience working with products with Teenage/ Young Adult audiences
Nice to have - Experience working with 3D Artists Animators and Technical Artists
Nice to have - Experience designing products for virtual augmented mixed reality and/or other emerging technologies
Non negotiable skills/experience:
Experience to think at a high level about product strategy and vision to defining an MVP experience / feature set
Experience approaching design problems systematically that considers holistic experiences and strategic principles
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders such as User Research Engineering and Product Management and thrives in collaboration
