Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an IP Litigation Paralegal to join a top-ranked law firm. This paralegal will be part of a four member paralegal team and support attorneys in a wide range of complex legal projects and tasks, primarily as relates to all phases of the intellectual property litigation process. This position offers flexible work from home/office arrangements and is based out of one of two office locations - Boston and NYC. The position requires availability for overtime and flexibility for travel.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
* Assist with a variety of complex ITC, federal and superior court cases from start to finish.
This includes - research, discovery, summary judgment, Markman, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeals.
* Utilize advanced knowledge of eDiscovery tools to coordinate with attorneys and vendors to create and manage electronic databases.
* Prepare court filings, including proofreading, cite-checking, and compilation of declarations, exhibits & appendices.
* Assist attorneys in overseeing fact and expert discovery, depositions and hearings, including preparation of exhibits, notebooks and witness binders.
* Maintain accurate timekeeping records on a daily basis, with a billing goal of 1400 hours annually.
* Draft correspondence, pleadings, notices, and motions, as well as conduct legal research.
The salary for the position ranges from $100k-$135k depending on years of experience and location.
Required Skills & Experience
* At least 5 years of experience in an IP litigation practice
* Experience assisting with court cases from start to finish and exceptional knowledge of legal terminology, rules, regulations, and procedures specific to practice area
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Assisting with ITC cases and ability to train junior paralegals on ITC practices
