Insight Global is looking for a Storage Migration Specialist to join one of our largest financial service clients sitting local to New York, Boston, or Pittsburgh. This candidate will be joining the storage and infrastructure services team within our client's technology department. They must come from a strong migration background and specifically have experience working within a storage capacity. They should have strong storage migration experience in the SAN and NAS space. On a daily basis, they will be communicating with the clients, capturing requirements and data, and putting this information together to plan and deliver reliable migrations with zero data loss and minimal service impact. This position does require flexible working hours and some weekend work, but won't go over a 40 hour working week.
- 6+ years of professional experience focused within infrastructure migrations
- Storage migration background, specifically NAS (network-attached storage) and SAN (storage area network)
- Familiarity working with storage migration tools such as SRDF, Snap Mirror/Snap Vault/Snap Shot
- Experience working with platforms such as EMC VMAX, NetApp and Hyper-converged
- Excellent communication with ability to work with clients and work cross functionally with internal teams
- Automation experience utilizing python scripting
