Looking for a GIS System Specialist to join the IT organization and support company's enterprise level data conversion as they transition to the ArcGIS platform, specifically ArcFM tool. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the GIS domain within Electric and Gas Operations with system maintenance and backend troubleshooting, and act as the primary IT support specialist to ensure system runs properly for internal and external customers. The process consists of documenting and collecting all system requirements from users to problem solve and troubleshoot detected issues and escalate as needed. You will assist in the development of new functionalities, which involves software configurations, testing and system integrations, and prepare documentation to present updates for leadership and cross functional teams. Looking for an individual who can identify gaps proactively and make recommendations based on technical system analysis. Must have previous technical experience within Schneider's Esri platform to understand product architecture and identify root cause when system glitches take place. Excellent written and verbal communication, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively on tight deadlines, is necessary in order to find success in this role.
Required Skills & Experience
1-5 years' experience as a Systems Specialist and/or IT Application Support
Experience troubleshooting Esri's ArcGIS product; Testing, documenting requirements, handling customer requests for application support
Strong backend Python troubleshooting skills within the ArcGIS platform
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in ArcFM
Utilities (Gas or Electric) industry background
Bachelor's degree with a focus in GIS, Geospatial, Geo Graphic, Geo Informatics, Environmental Science and/or Urban Planning
