Job Description
A telecommunications company in the New York Metro area is looking for two Switch Provisioning Technicians to join their growing team, and sit remotely. This team is responsible for provisioning of customer line translations including ISDN, PRI, SIP, and analog lines. You will work closely with switch/hosted engineers and equipment vendors to ensure complex issues and projects are resolved.
One role is centered around phone provisioning. You will be required to communicate with the customer to understand call flow, document it, and program that call flow. The other role is centered around circuit provisioning on the carrier side.
This company is looking for a reliable technician that has experience programming a carrier class switch, and looking to grow their career within an organization. It is important to have strong customer service and collaboration skills.
This is a full-time opportunity. This client is open to a range of experience, therefor offering a salary range of $50,000-76,000, based on level of experience. This position is fully remote and requires you to work EST hours 7:30-4:30, and every third week 10:30-7:30. If you are interested, please apply today!
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience with telephone systems
- 1+ years of experience with TCP/IP and VoIP maintenance and operations experience
- Experience building, testing, and activation PRI, SIP, and analog lines
- Experience with PBX phone systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Associates or Bachelor's degree
- Experience testing with SAS call trace, Adtran debug, or Wire Shark
- Experience working with 5E66, M6, and Meta switches
