Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Grants Manager to join the Office of Science and Research organization of one of our largest academic medical clients in New York City. This Grants Manager will serve as a point person to ensure grants specialist performance, customer service, assignments, coverage, and competencies are appropriate to meet department goals. Their responsibilities will include both pre-award and post-award responsibilities including proposal review, electronic grant submission and award processing for grant programs. They will participate in all pre- and post-award grant processes and provide training for the sponsored programs administration department support staff. They will organize funding opportunities, review, and maintain budgets, records, processes necessary to ensure compliance with internal standards, regulations, and guidelines. Institutional sign-off on electronic proposals and grant related correspondence. This person will be assigned to research proposals, new awards, or progress reports each morning through their electronic system Huron. They will need to review the smart forms completed, learn and apply specific NIH policies, internal policies and apply the compliance business framework to edit each proposal. They will then reply through the electronic system with required or expected changes for finished polishing. They will work with multiple departments, principal investigators, and other executives to deliver initiatives. We are looking for someone who has extreme attention to detail and works at a very quick pace and can handle a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years' experience in grants administration or other relevant professional experience
- Impeccable written, oral, and verbal communication skills
-Experience reviewing and editing proposals and grants including complex research policies and procedures such as federal regulations (NIH, DOD, CDC) and internal policies
-Experience coordinating with external funding agency staff, principal investigators, department heads to electronically submit grants, work through grant-related issues, provide pre and post-award support
- Can handle a workload of approximately 175 grants proposals requests a year
-Bachelor's degree required
