Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Global IT Director for a luxury cosmetics company. The Global IT Director will be responsible for defining and implementing the 3-5 year technology roadmap to support the business activities of the company. This roadmap to include but not be limited to business management systems, client experience, employee experience & data analytics. This role is responsible for leading the organization through development and maintenance of all IT systems and functions in our NY HQ and abroad - in support of business objectives, customers, and employees. Key initial priority is the successful implementation of SAP at the company affiliates globally in 2023, leveraging the SAP solution developed by Beiersdorf group (parent company) and piloting the support from in-house and 3rd party consulting resources to ensure a smooth integration.



- Act as strategic partner to the senior leadership team and provide innovative technology solutions, balancing long-term and immediate needs.

- Define the company's overall technology strategy to support business objectives.

- Evaluation, development, deployment, and maintenance of all technology services including ERP, business intelligence, web shop, trading partner interfaces (customer/3PL), infrastructure, collaboration tools, help desk/service delivery, point of sale/CRM, mobile

- Utilization and optimization of IT resourcing profile across own internal staff, inter-company shared service providers and 3rd party vendors.

- Make infrastructure decisions, ensuring technical excellence, versatility, safety and soundness, resiliency and scalability in the architecting and engineering of product solutions, as well as managing all technical delivery.

- Facilitate the development and implementation of disaster recovery and IT security failure plans.

- Ensure tight collaboration across departments and operating units of the Beiersdorf Group to drive strategic initiatives, ensuring efficient, effective use of shared services and alignment between technology strategy and technology roadmaps.

- Oversee data security, management, and governance.

- Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships.

- Manage IT resource allocation, goal/KPI setting, and performance metrics.

- Develop and manage annual and quarterly budgets.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of previous experience as an IT director, overseeing architecture and engineering for enterprise-wide technology platforms

- Experience leading complex, major changes, and initiatives; demonstrated skills in change management on an organizational and interpersonal level; experience with integrating teams across multiple business units

- Flexibility to work in a post-merger transformation environment context with currently low levels of process and guideline definition and high complexity driven by simultaneous functional change projects

- Experience on SAP implementations is a must

- Exposure to e-commerce platforms such as shopify/salesforce

- Understanding of processes, organization and tools needed to build and run successful retail operations

- Experience designing and managing an effective IT governance framework across the spectrum of IT service delivery.

- Strategic smarts, including the ability to identify new opportunities, drive clarity, create focus, and make tough decisions in complex and dynamic contexts.

- Solid understanding of broad technology trends and the ability to align innovation with business goals.

- Strong department leader with skills in strategic planning, goal setting, processes development, budgeting, and creating opportunities for professional development within technology teams.

- Strong communication with ability to convey technical topics in easy-to-understand business terms and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
