Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced space-based processing, controls, and electro-optical systems. This individual will be responsible for driving technical excellence across programs while serving as a key leader within the Systems Engineering organization.
The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the development and maintenance of Interface Control Specifications, System Engineering Management Plans, Requirements Specifications, System Integration Plans, Test Plans, and additional systems engineering documentation. They will own requirements generation, analysis, decomposition, allocation, and customer review processes while ensuring traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 8-12+ years of Systems Engineering experience, preferably within aerospace or space systems
- Experience developing and managing requirements, system architecture, and technical documentation
- Experience with systems engineering tools such as Cameo, ReliaSoft/Reliance, Python, MATLAB, or ANSYS
- Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies, PM&P, and Mission Assurance verification analyses (Reliability, Stress Derating, Radiation Effects, etc.)
- Familiarity with AS9100D standards and compliance requirements
- Experience leading requirements generation, decomposition, verification, and validation efforts
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical Systems, or related discipline
- 10+ years of multidisciplinary engineering experience across mechanical, optical, electrical, software, firmware, and controls systems
- Previous space systems experience
- MBSE experience
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience establishing and improving Systems Engineering processes, policies, and procedures
- Leadership and mentoring experience
