Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Accountant III for a top government client. This candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, maintaining complex accounting records, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, and reporting. Experience within government accounting environments and familiarity with GASB standards are highly preferred. Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
4+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience
Strong experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills
Experience with GASB standards and governmental fund accounting
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Workday Experience
Master's Degree in Accountancy or MBA
CPA, CGFM, or CMA certification
