Heavy Equipment Operator/Driver

Insight Global is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator or Class A Driver who will split time between operating truck, heavy equipment duties, and performing hands-on labor at job sites at Los Alamos National Laboratory. This role is ideal for a dependable, safety‑focused individual who is comfortable driving heavy equipment and supporting field crews with physical work as needed. The individual plays a critical role in material transport, site logistics, and day‑to‑day job site operations.

Responsibilities
-Operate commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites
-Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance
-Secure loads and maintain accurate driving logs
-Coordinate deliveries with supervisors and site teams
-Assist crews with general labor, including loading/unloading, site setup, and cleanup
-Support construction tasks such as material staging, trenching, and equipment handling
-Use basic hand and power tools as needed
-Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
-Perform additional duties as assigned based on site needs

-Valid Driver's License
-Experience operating heavy machinery - excavator required
-Experience operating high-risk utility lines
-Ability to drive a small dump truck

-Pipefitting experience
