Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Construction Manager to join one of their federal contracting clients in Santa Fe, NM. The Construction Manager will support a PFAS treatment building expansion – new ground up PFAS processing building, as well as, heavy civil environmental infrastructure work, specifically: PFAS Treatment Building Expansion, Piping Upgrades, Pavement Improvements, and Evaporation Pond Liner Replacement & Modifications. The Construction Manager will ensure work is built exactly to plans and specifications, contractor work complies with Reclamation standards, and safety/documentation/QC are continuously enforced. This is a fully onsite role in the Santa Fe, NM office from 9am-5pm with required travel to the worksite in Alamogordo, NM (company truck and gas card provided).

Day to day responsibilities
•Review and understand construction plans, specifications, quantity estimates and construction schedules
•Ensure compliance with Reclamation engineering standards
•Maintain up-to-date drawings and specs for inspectors
•Manage official construction documents and revisions
•Download, log, and file contractor submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs)
•Track review progress
•Coordinate between contractors and reclamation reviewers
•Verify and confirm what is built, matches what is designed i.e. elevations, coordinates, staking, etc.
•Compare installed work against drawings
•Attend all required construction meetings – record attendance, meeting notes, and action items
•Provide documentation to reclamation’s CCOR (Contracting Officer’s Representative)
•Observe contractor activities in real time
•Inspect methods, materials, and workmanship
•Oversee contractor QC processes, assist reclamation staff with safety process, and enforce Reclamation Safety and Health Standards (RSHS) and OSHA requirements

Required Skills & Experience

•3+ years’ experience in heavy civil construction
•Strong knowledge of earthwork: excavation, hauling, stockpiling, placement and compaction, and contractor QC testing of soils
•Strong knowledge of concrete work: formwork and reinforcement, placement and finishing, cold weather protection, curing, CLSM (Controlled Low Strength Material) placement
•Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
•Proficiency in MS Office and email systems
•OSHA-30 OR RSHS 32-Hour training

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

•First Aid, CPR, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)
•Ground up construction experience
