Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automation Specialist to join our team in Carlsbad, NM. The successful candidate will support the commissioning and maintenance of automation systems by performing loop checks, function testing, wire terminations, and related tasks within the automation scope of work. Key responsibilities include performing loop checks to verify signal integrity and ensure accurate instrument readings, conducting functional testing of automation equipment such as PLCs, RTUs, and associated field instruments, executing wire terminations and verifying proper installation according to wiring diagrams and schematics, supporting the commissioning and startup of new and existing automation systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to instrumentation, controls, and communication systems, collaborating with engineering, operations, and electrical teams to ensure alignment on project specifications and timelines, documenting testing procedures, results, and configuration changes in accordance with company standards, and adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements. Its a 5/2 schedule

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in automation, instrumentation, or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, preferably in the oil and gas sector
Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, or similar control platforms
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Willingness to work in field conditions and travel as needed
