Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a General Construction Superintendent in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a retail convenience and gas station brand across NM. The Superintendent will be reporting to both the Senior Project Manager and the Construction Team Lead, the General Superintendent will be responsible for managing large-scale projects from groundbreaking to completion. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Direct and manage all on-site operations for gas station and commercial construction projects, ensuring that crews work efficiently and that all phases of the project are completed according to schedule. Provide daily updates to the Senior Project Manager and Construction Team Lead. Oversee superintendents, foremen, and field crews. Foster a collaborative environment where the team works cohesively toward project goals. Coordinate closely with both the Senior Project Manager and Construction Team Lead to align team efforts. Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and company safety protocols. Work closely with the Construction Team Lead to maintain a strong safety culture on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections. Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Assist the Construction Team Lead in managing resources, resolving on-site issues, and keeping the project moving forward. Monitor project schedules and make necessary adjustments to keep the project on track. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all work progresses smoothly. Ensure that all construction work meets or exceeds quality standards, with a focus on fuel systems, environmental compliance, and commercial building specifications. Conduct regular inspections and work with the Construction Team Lead to address any quality issues. Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and stakeholders. Communicate regularly with both the Senior Project Manager and Construction Team Lead to address client concerns and project updates. Track project costs and resource allocation to ensure the project remains within budget. Provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager and Construction Team Lead regarding cost management and project performance.

Required Skills & Experience

20 years of experience in construction, with at least 10 years in a superintendent role overseeing gas station or commercial property projects

Extensive knowledge of safety regulations, fuel systems, environmental standards, and building codes related to gas station construction

Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Excel, Procore)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP)
