Job Description

Day to Day

One of our top clients is seeking a Data Governance consultant to join their team remotely. They are currently undergoing a large digital transformation effort, with this group focusing on enterprise data enablement. They are looking to create a data catalog where all teams can access pertinent data for their specific needs. This consultant will be working with divisional partners to understand concerns, requirements, frameworks, and learn how this catalog would fit into their particular group. The candidate will need to have a strong understanding of data governance, change management, master data, data quality, access controls, and ideally have a background in pharmaceuticals. He/she will be working on the data playbook navigating and trying to build it (draft policies exist) but the main goal is to evolve and enhance it. They will be working to socialize it with different divisions within the organization, gather feedback, understand the feedback, propose commonalities and differences. Understand how different groups are loading data into the catalog and put guard rails around that.

Why Open: They need to get better at sharing data across the org to bring products to market faster, share insights, maintaining compliance and managing risk. There are issues today with FAIR principles (Findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable). The CTO org is trying to create a data COE because there is no central mechanism. This manager is leading a team focused on Data Enablement playbook -- which are policies and standards, operating model to enable people to manage, find and access data.
