Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a PowerApps Developer/Architect for a large IT Managed Services Company to work on a federal project with a team of 12-14 (PM, Architect, developers, stakeholders). The current project is migrating a 25-year-old Oracle Database (8 Terabytes of Data -- pure data) into a Microsoft Environment. Modernize and move into MS Suite of solutions: workflow, SharePoint, automation forms, etc. most of that is covered but digging into the project lead architect came back and seeing a need for data lake coming into this. They have identified with their team how to store this data but need people to access the data from multiple data points (data bricks, data lake and Dataverse) and then will need to automate business practices, reports (doing them in BI). The end goal of the project is moving off of Oracle and modernizing using MS Azure and PowerApps (Canvas Apps). Daily duties will include: Heavy team collaborations, Working out of Github with Development tasks assigned to the developer (each developer will have an environment where they pull the master version down, work on it, releasing is all automated to repositories), Building screens, canvas forms, and applying rules.
Required Skills & Experience
BACK END DEVELOPER -----
* 5+ years of experience as a .NET /C# developer
* Experience building custom APIs in C#
Building screens, API code layer that includes - search, find, add, update functionality)
* Experience connecting APIs to the front end and database
Bonus if front end was power apps and back end was Dataverse
* Experience with API Containers
Experience with Data Factory, Data Bricks and Dataverse
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Preferred certifications: Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as Power Platform Solution Architect Export (Developer and Advanced level)
