Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer within the Data Strategies and Engineering teams who will partner across Commercial, IT, Analytics, and MedTech stakeholders to advance commercial data capabilities. This role will lead strategic data initiatives across commercial applications, third-party integrations, market and competitive datasets, and customer engagement data. Responsibilities include defining business requirements, strengthening governance, identifying data gaps and risks, resolving issues, and delivering scalable data solutions that improve quality, usability, reporting, segmentation, and commercial decision-making. He/she will assist with UAT testing and validation activities, and will be hands on with SQL and Python.

This role has the potential to convert to a Full Time Employee and has growth opportunities to take on Lead responsibilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data and Analytics, IT, Statistics, etc) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data strategy, data engineering, analytics, commercial operations, data governance, business intelligence, data product management, or technology-enabled transformation
• Strong collaboration, communication, analytical, influencing, and stakeholder leadership skills
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, presentation, storytelling, and executive interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, data-driven decision-making, and project management skills
• Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business recommendations
• Strong experience with SQL and Python
• Ability to translate, integrate, and govern multiple data sources into useful datasets and models for commercial decision-making

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with master data management, data governance, stewardship, and data quality management
• PySpark, Alteryx, BI tools, or similar data access methods
• Experience with cloud or database environments such as Databricks, AWS Redshift, PostgreSQL, S3, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure, or similar platforms
• Experience as a data product owner, business lead, or SME for commercial data platforms, third-party integrations, or customer engagement data
• Experience in medical device, healthcare, commercial analytics, customer data, sales operations, or marketing technology
