Supply Chain Planning Manager
We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to lead production and packaging planning activities for a manufacturing operation in New Jersey. This person will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules, balancing inventory and capacity, and ensuring customer demand is met on time.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production plans that balance inventory, resources, and manufacturing capacity.
Analyze supply and demand trends and identify potential shortages or constraints.
Coordinate with production, procurement, engineering, product development, and demand planning teams to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor inventory levels and production performance to maintain high customer service levels.
Track and report planning KPIs and drive continuous process improvements.
Support new product launches and ongoing commercial production needs.
Identify scheduling gaps and implement solutions to improve efficiency and on-time delivery.
Develop and maintain planning procedures, scheduling rules, and best practices.
Pay Rate - $42.00-$45.00

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
• Completed Bachelor’s degree required. (Focus on Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Operations or related discipline preferred).
• Four (4) years’ experience in Supply Chain related roles: production planning, master scheduling, inventory management, shop floor scheduling, demand, etc.
• Proficient with MS office applications (especially MS Excel)
• Sound knowledge of Supply Chain processes; planning, replenishments, forecasting, advanced planning, inventory management, and master data maintenance.
• Self-motivated with excellent initiative, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate internally and externally to influence cross-functional change and meet all deliverables.
• Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adequate practical experience with site Quality, Production and Vendor Management.
• Experience in pharma industry with manufacturing and packaging, especially Oral Solid Dosage forms strongly preferred.
• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) an asset
• Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems required (QAD & SAP a plus)
• Ability to travel on occasion
