Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for coaching and developing branch leadership and sales teams throughout the region to drive profitable revenue growth and improve the overall customer experience. This role serves as a strategic partner to Regional Leadership and the Director of Sales, executing regional growth initiatives while ensuring consistent sales processes, accountability, training, and customer engagement throughout the territory.
Day-to-Day:
- Coach and mentor Branch Managers & Outside Sales Reps
- Establish sales expectations and accountability measures + lead CRM adoption/accountability across the region
- Conduct branch visits, ride-alongs, and sales coaching sessions
- Review branch KPIs, dashboards, utilization, rates, revenue growth, and profitability metrics
- Review large proposals and track top customers /major projects throughout the territory
- Develop and execute a 12-month sales calendar including training initiatives, market segment focus, and seasonal opportunities
- Lead internal and external trainings, webinars, and onboarding efforts

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of equipment rental industry experience (heavy equipment, specialty rental, climate control, power, pump, scaffold, etc.)
3+ years of sales leadership experience managing sales teams and/or branch leadership
Multi-location or regional leadership experience
Proven ownership of revenue growth and regional performance metrics
Experience coaching and developing outside sales teams
Willingness to travel 70%+ throughout assigned territory
Experience using KPIs, dashboards, forecasting, CRM reporting, and sales accountability tools
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Climate Control experience
Specialty Rental experience: Pump, Power, Scaffold, HVAC, or related rental verticals
Experience supporting large projects, bids, proposals, and take-offs
Experience cross-selling experience across multiple rental business units
Salesforce Experience
