Job Description
Insight Global is partnering with a leading semiconductor organization to identify a Senior Product Engineer with deep RF expertise to join a growing engineering team. This role is a backfill for a retiring technical lead and will play a critical part in both hands-on product validation and technical mentorship across the team.
The team is focused on Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms and is looking for someone who can quickly step in, contribute at a high level, and help elevate junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product evaluation, validation, and debugging for RF-based radio platforms
- Perform hands-on lab testing using spectrum analyzers and other RF test equipment
- Analyze and verify wireless radio performance across analog, RF, and digital domains
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of junior engineers
- Own individual projects as an IC while also supporting broader team initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally to help drive products from development to production
Compensation
$150,000 - $175,000

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in RF engineering (non-negotiable)
- Strong background in analog and mixed-signal systems
Experience in product engineering, validation, or test environments
- Hands-on expertise with test & measurement equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, RF lab tools)
- Exposure to digital signal processing (DSP) or software-defined platforms
- Proven ability to mentor or lead engineers in a technical capacity
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems
- Background in radio platform evaluation and verification
- Familiarity with modern radio architectures (e.g., direct conversion, sampling-based systems)
- Experience working in highly technical environments (e.g., semiconductor, RF communications, aerospace/defense)
- Ability to balance deep technical work with team leadership responsibilities
