Job Description

One of Insight Global's customers is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their team (located near Breinigsville, PA / Camden, NJ / Alpharetta, GA to come onsite as needed and be willing to travel about 7-8 weeks in a year). This position is responsible for overseeing and supporting implementations, ranging from new business to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, while utilizing standardized project-related processes and project management tools, trackers, software. The Project Manager will lead others involved in the project, develop timelines, facilitate the deployment of the business design and ensure that the business objectives of the project are met based on pre-defined project metrics. Responsibilities will include;
• Assumes full responsibility for planning and managing new business implementation or continuous improvement projects.
• Manages the entire lifecycle of the project from project inception to project closure. Tasks include, but are not limited to: meeting management, documentation, process workflows, work plans, reports, etc.
• Demonstrates expertise with preparation of detailed project plans, including activity definition, task sequencing, resource requirements, and duration estimates.
• Will work closely with key stakeholders, including senior level sponsors, partners, customers and vendors to define project scope and ensure timely delivery of all project components.
• Participates in the development, implementation and assessment of project health-checks, ‘Go-Live’ readiness, lessons learned, and post-mortem reviews.
• Assumes the lead in risk management meetings working with project leads and project teams to identify potential risks and recommend solutions to stabilize project prior to a business-impacting event occurring.
• Responsible for monitoring and communicating progress, collaborating with key stakeholders to publish status reports, and managing and reporting on open risks and action items.
• Demonstrates clear and concise communication; interpersonal, organizational and team building skills; and business judgment
• Demonstrates capability to direct the efforts of a smaller project staff as well as internal and external customers.
• Participates in projects or business audits to assesses and promote the use of better practices, processes and tools driving change throughout the organization.
• Assumes an active role in the design, development and delivery of formal and informal training of project management resources on standard project management methodology and other skills required to successfully manage a project.
• Adheres to project management standard policies, procedures, practices and supporting documents and templates to successfully support the implementation of major projects.
• Analyzes performance of the project team or the operation utilizing metrics, audits, and data-driven indicators. Will lead or participate in process reviews, document process flows, identify best practices, and conduct post project audits to ensure process compliance.
• Keeps up with relevant industry knowledge such as warehousing, 3PL, and supply chain management and project management practices.
• Promotes the importance and relevance of PMO-related initiatives and projects articulating and highlighting their organizational benefits with professionalism.

Required Skills & Experience

2-5 years hands-on experience managing projects and having industry knowledge in supply chain, warehousing, 3PL, etc.

Ability to build and sustain excellent working relationships, balance conflicting priorities and hold others (including one’s self) accountable to meet deadlines

Demonstrated in ability to communicate on all levels; position requires regular interface with project resources, team leads and senior management team members to effectively communicate PMO activities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Solid planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills to be very effective and efficient in handling the many tasks associated with PMO-related initiatives and projects

Ability to identify/access project risk and implementing change management initiatives/strategies

Experience with project planning and tracking tools/software; SmartSheet, MS Project, Excel, etc.

Able and willing to travel 7-8+ weeks out of the year and come onsite when needed to the office
