Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment, health and safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental health and safety regulations. Work to reduce company risk and liability in all aspects of EHS. Assists in a variety of duties to include, sampling, observations, training and inspections. Works with stakeholders in the organization during space planning, building expansions and/or other changes in facilities or work areas to ensure EHS requirements and regulations are met. Assists with root cause analysis when EHS incidents occur and recommends corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazards exist. Responsible for monitoring and driving sustainability initiatives.

EHS plays an essential role in fostering prevention and problem solving to reduce risks and protect our people, product, and environment.
The EHS Senior Specialist will be responsible for partnering with site-level operations and engineering teams, and other key stakeholders to execute company EHS policies and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This includes demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
The role requires experience working with regulatory and governmental agencies (e.g., OSHA, EPA, and state/local authorities), including supporting inspections, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory reporting. The EHS Senior Specialist will serve as a key point of contact during agency interactions and ensure timely and accurate responses to regulatory inquiries.
A key responsibility of this role is to drive employee engagement and strengthen site safety culture by promoting active participation in EHS programs, enhancing hazard recognition capabilities across the workforce, and increasing the effectiveness and utilization of tools such as concern reporting systems. This individual will work to ensure that safety is owned at all levels of the organization by influencing behaviors, coaching leaders, and embedding EHS expectations into daily operations.
By leveraging lean principles, this individual will drive continual improvement initiatives to reduce safety and environmental risk in our processes and identify sustainability opportunities. The EHS Senior Specialist must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with internal customers to influence change through non-obstructive, systemic solutions to EHS challenges.
The EHS Senior Specialist must be an effective communicator and deliver clear, concise, and consistent messaging, both verbally and in writing. This individual will guide operations leaders and site EHS professionals in implementing and sustaining company EHS policies, while assisting the regional EHS leader in driving segment and corporate EHS objectives.
