Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a UX Researcher to join a customer facing insights and research team. This role will be local to NY or NJ to sit onsite hybrid, as well as travel to local store locations to participate in studies. Through end to end user research processes, candidates will drive transformation within retail experiences by contributing insights and research outcomes. On a day to day basis you will work independently to run, develop and execute UX Research projects/programs aimed at understanding customer needs, expectations, and behaviors aligned to their in store shopping experiences. Delivery in this role will require candidates to observe customers as they go through in store experiences and then run IDI’s to gather insights about their experiences, motivations, and feelings about the in-store experience. The goal will be to deliver detailed insights into user behavior and needs that go beyond surface-level data, helping to uncover pain points, validate ideas, and inform design, experiences and resources with Retail Team stakeholders. Candidates should have qualifications to execute on qualitative and quantitative research, create research briefs from scratch and match the research methodology best fit for the scope of work, as well as handle the research end to end and deliver insights and clarification to stakeholders. Being able to refine research along the way is also pivotal to the role. Candidates should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, building relationships and taking initiative.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of UX Research experience for consumer facing environments
Hands on experience with multiple research methods in enterprise ecosystems
Advanced with usability testing and use of tools like dScout, UserTesting, UserZoom, Maze
Ability to write research briefs and screeners, define research scope, design research materials, execute study, and deliver insights and findings through Google Deck presentations
Strong experience with qualitative and quantitative – Ethnographic research methods specifically in-person retail Shopper Ethnographies and Observational Studies
Comfortable with in-person field research and communication with shoppers
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, working independently while also collaborating with other researchers and leadership
Portfolio or work examples with end-to-end research case studies
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Background doing research for retail or e-commerce, shop and pay experiences
Has a car for travel within the tri-state area
